I respect the privacy of my website visitors and of my clients. I process personal data only for the purpose for which it was provided and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter AVG) in force as of 25 May 2018.

Personal data I process
Tom Seerden processes your personal data because you use my services and/or because you provide them to me yourself.
Below is an overview of the personal data I process:
- First and last name
- Address details
- Telephone number
- Account number
- E-mail address
Special and/or sensitive personal data I process
My website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years old unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, I cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. I therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid collection of data from children without parental consent. If you are convinced that I have collected personal data from a minor without such consent, please contact me at info@tomseerden.nl, and I will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis do I process personal data
Tom Seerden processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Sending my newsletter and/or mailing about exhibitions
- Calling or emailing you if this is necessary to carry out my services
- Handling your payment
- Tom Seerden also processes personal data if I am legally obliged to do so, such as data I need for my tax return.
Automated decision-making
Tom Seerden does not make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programmes or systems, without a human being (e.g. an employee of Tom Seerden) being involved. Tom Seerden uses the following computer programmes or systems:
- Website realised in WordPress for the online presentation of my services, exhibitions and works of art.
- Google Analytics for viewing and analysing website visits.
- Outlook mail client to communicate with clients.
How long I keep personal data
Tom Seerden does not keep your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realise the purposes for which your data is collected. I maintain the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:
Personal details – For participation in activities. These will be kept for as long as they are current unless the participant decides otherwise.
Address – For shipping or legal necessity such as agreements. These will be kept for as long as the administration obligation requires.
E-mail – For sending newsletters and appropriate information until resubscription or as long as there is active contact.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Tom Seerden does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of my agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on my behalf, I enter into a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Tom Seerden remains responsible for this processing.
Cookies, or similar techniques, that I use
Tom Seerden uses only technical and functional cookies, as well as analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies I use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. They also allow me to optimise my website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to stop storing cookies. In addition, you can delete any information previously stored via your browser’s settings.

Data access, correction or deletion
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Tom Seerden, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send any of your personal data that I hold to you, or another organisation you specify, in a computer file.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@tomseerden.nl.
To make sure that the request for access is made by you, I ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. I will then respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
